As a result of the CATCH feasibility study the following priorities were developed for Potenza :

•  Promote the pedestrian component in the city centre.

•  Limit the number of vehicle movements entering the historical centre of Potenza .

•  Reduce long term parking supply by increasing the parking capacity of the zone and the accessibility to short term parking facilities.

•  Promote the use of Public Transport, reducing vehicle access to the city and managing parking demand in the most congested areas of the city centre.

These priorities were reflected in the design of the Limited Traffic Zone (TLZ)
